Field Prep & Maintenance Training & Coach's Clinic

This Saturday, February 22, Millbrae Baseball is offering a Field Prep and Maintenance Training and Coaches Clinic from 9:00AM - 12:00PM at Glen Oaks Field.

This training is for Adult Volunteers & Coaches only

DIVISION TIME SLOT SCHEDULE:

9:00AM - 10:30AM - 6U Shetland (Tee Ball) & 8U Pinto Divisions

10:30AM-12:00PM - 10U Mustang, 12U Bronco & 14U Pony Divisions

During your division time slots,
Field Prep Volunteers:
We will teach field prep volunteers how to access the equipment and materials needed to prep the field for a game, learn to drag/rake the field, where to set the bases, how to chalk the lines for your division, where to mark the pitcher's circle or set up the portable pitching mound and how to organize equipment and materials in the shed. The HOME Team is responsible for setting up the field on game days and the AWAY Team is responsible for putting away the bases and mound. (if applicable) Both teams are responsible for their own dugouts making sure they are clean of any garbage and all equipment is stored properly in sheds.

Volunteer Coaches:
The Coach's Clinic will be offered at the same time slot as your division. During the coach's clinic will show you have to access the Millbrae Baseball sheds. (New Master Lock - Bluetooth Padlocks on all Millbrae Field Sheds). Also, we will show where and how field equipment is organized in the sheds for practices and games. Coaches will learn how to run an effective practice plan to keep players moving and engaged throughout your practice. Also, we will teach game day warm-up plan to build a routine and prepare your players for a game. Come out to learn drills and techniques to help the players develop their skills.

Youth Umpire Training:
9:00AM - 10:00AM - 8U Pinto Division Umpire Training for interested Youth Umpires (minimum 10 years old)

10:00AM-11:00AM - 10U Mustang Division Umpire Training for interested Youth Umpires (minimum 12 years old)
If you have an child interested in umpiring and they meet the minimum age, complete this Umpire Interest Form
